These viruses are reported in almost every grain-growing region around the world. All YDVs share common biological properties such as aphid transmission, and phloem limitation. However, the replication mechanism and genome organization of these viruses are different and based on these characteristics, these viruses are classified into two genera; Luteovirus, represented by Barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV), and Polerovirus represented by Cereal yellow dwarf virus (CYDV). This review covers the latest findings on these viruses, including reclassification and elimination of family Luteoviridae, genome organization, protein functions, and replication mechanisms, providing useful information for their management. ویروس‌های کوتولگی زرد از مهمترین ویروس‌های غلات هستند که به طور قابل توجهی باعث کاهش محصول در این گیاهان می‌شوند. این ویروس‌ها تقریبا از تمام مناطق کشت غلات در سراسر دنیا گزارش شده‌است. ویروس‌های کوتولگی زرد در خصوصیاتی مانند انتقال با شته و محدود بودن به آوند آبکشی شباهت دارند ولی سازماندهی ژنوم و استراتژی تکثیر آنها متفاوت است و ویروس‌های کوتولگی زرد بر اساس این خصوصیات به دو جنس مجزای Luteovirus و Polerovirus به ترتیب با گونه تیپ(BYDV) Barley yellow dwarf virus و (CYDV) Cereal yellow dwarf virus طبقه‌ بندی می‌شوند. در این مقاله آخرین طبقه بندی ویروس‌های کوتولگی زرد و حذف تیره Luteoviridae، سازماندهی ژنوم آن‌ها، عملکرد پروتئین‌ها و مکانیسم‌های تکثیر ژنوم این ویروس‌ها به اختصار توصیف شده است. این اطلاعات می‌تواند به ارائه راهکارهایی برای کنترل این ویروس‌ها کمک نماید https://ijpp.areeo.ac.ir/article_706516_677ff3c92e8198b7da946ea8f0f487b6.pdf
