This trend threatens not only the durability of scientific publishing but also the credibility and sustainability of these journals. In this letter, several possible structural and internal causes are briefly discussed. Major contributing factors include the reduced appeal of agricultural disciplines to talented students, lowered research funding, and the growing gap between academia and the practical needs of the agricultural sector. At the journal level, interest in full research papers, lengthy and sluggish review processes, and limited scientific critical interaction around journals are among the factors contributing to the crisis. The consequences of this trend on graduate education, international credibility, and the contributions of young researchers are discussed. Solutions for revising editorial policies, diversifying article types, publishing special issues, and fostering active academic communication are suggested. This letter aims to stimulate constructive discussion toward revitalizing Iran’s agricultural science journals. در سال‌های اخیر، بسیاری از مجلات علمی در حوزه کشاورزی ایران با کاهش هشدار آمیز تعداد و کیفیت مقالات ارسالی مواجه شده‌اند. این روند، نه‌تنها سبب اختلال در چرخه تولید علم در این حوزه شده، بلکه اعتبار و پایداری مجلات تخصصی را نیز با خطر مواجه ساخته است. در این مقاله، با رویکردی تحلیلی و مستند، به برخی علل ساختاری و درونی این پدیده پرداخته شده ‌است. از جمله عوامل کلان می‌توان به کاهش جذابیت رشته‌های کشاورزی برای دانشجویان نخبه، افت حمایت‌های مالی پژوهشی، و گسست میان نظام آموزش عالی و نیازهای واقعی بخش کشاورزی اشاره کرد. در سطح مجلات نیز عواملی چون گرایش به پذیرش مقالات پژوهشی کامل، کند و طولانی بودن فرآیند داوری، و نبود بستر تعاملی پیرامون مجله، در این بحران مؤثر بوده‌اند. پیامدهای این روند بر آموزش تحصیلات تکمیلی، اعتبار بین‌المللی، و مشارکت پژوهشگران جوان مورد بحث قرار گرفته است. در پایان، راهکارهایی نظیر بازنگری در سیاست‌های پذیرش مقالات، تنوع‌بخشی به انواع مقالات و زمینه های علمی مقالات، انتشار شماره‌های ویژه، و ارتقاء تعامل علمی پیشنهاد می‌شود. این مقاله تلاش می‌کند با آغاز گفتمانی آگاهانه در جامعه پژوهشگران کشاورزی، زمینه بازسازی جایگاه مجلات کشاورزی ایران را فراهم آورد. https://ijpp.areeo.ac.ir/article_710649_a7873e2a27ce827848e7955809216fcd.pdf
